The ACA Monitoring Station Mural

Created for the Alberta Capital Airshed (ACA) in partnership with Canadian Women in Design, this large-scale public art project transforms a piece of scientific infrastructure in St. Albert, Alberta, into a vibrant illustration. The imagery celebrates the quiet moments of joy found in everyday encounters with nature, encouraging residents to explore the beauty that surrounds them.

The project held particular personal significance for me after experiencing the health complications of Long COVID, including severely compromised lung function. During that time, I developed a deeper appreciation for both the fragility of our health and the importance of clean air. Through this piece, I sought to create an image that inspires reflection, fosters awareness, and encourages stewardship of the air we all share.
